All 29 federally recognized tribes in Washington have a gaming compact: Washington state law delegates our director the responsibility of negotiating Class III gaming compacts. According to The Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) of 1988, states must negotiate gaming compacts with tribes to allow casino-style gaming (if it's legal in that state).
